Shrewsbury practice conducts study of new pain treatment

Chronic pain, defined as that which lasts more than six months after an injury has healed, is estimated to affect more than 100 million Americans and cost the U.S. some $600 billion in medical costs and lost wages annually, according to the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
