Amber Marks accompanied her father, Howard, on a return trip to Taiwan , and made a journey of her own to idyllic Sun Moon Lake in the centre of the island, where Chiang Kai-shek indulged his dreams of one day retaking mainland China "Why Taiwan ?" friends had asked.
